For me, sewing is my passion, even thought there are definitely some aspects of the sewing process that I don't love.
So in honour of Valentine's Day tomorrow, I thought I'd share some of the things I love about sewing, and some of the things I don't.
You know when you really just want to dive in and start sewing, but you bought a PDF pattern and first you have to tape it all together and that just ruins your mojo? This is a story about how my sewing mojo was ruined, but in the end, wasn't ruined at all.
I have no excuses for not writing up a proper blog post. I've been slack on this front, but busy and having fun on other fronts - check it out.
So much happened in October. Here are the highs and lows...
I've moved into my new house!!! Still no time for proper blogging though - or any sewing! - so here's another quick peek (spoiler: it's been mostly packing/unpacking)

I haven't had time to blog, so here are a few highlights from my month:
If you're reading this blog, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about. With new patterns come new levels of tedium: tracing the pattern out, cutting the pattern pieces out, tracing it out (again) onto the toile fabric, cutting it out (again!), and then figuring out the quirks of that pattern... only to have to trace it out yet again (onto the fashion fabric) and cut it out one last time before you can get to the relaxing, fun part of actually sewing the garment together
So it's halfway through the year and I'm not nearly even halfway to my Project Frocktober goal. I got delayed procrastinating about my polka dot dress, which is ridiculous, because it's just a cheap polycotton print (literally around $5/m).
I recently started crocheting a new blanket - and I'm actually following a pattern! (Mostly)
Oh my gosh, it's the last day of April and I feel like I haven't sewn in months, when really, it's only been three weeks.
Instead, I've been crocheting. Mostly a chevron blanket (!!!) but I've also recently started a pouch for WIRES, to keep rescued joeys warm over winter.
